Red Wings’ second-round picks: Some fizzled, some dealt, some hopeful
The Detroit Red Wings have accumulated 14 second-round draft picks over seven drafts under Steve Yzerman's management, with only defenseman Albert Johansson making the roster thus far. The team will make another second-round selection at No. 47 on Saturday in Buffalo, their highest pick after trading their first-round selection to St. Louis for defenseman Justin Faulk. Other second-round picks from this period have either left the organization, remain in development in the AHL, or are competing for NHL roster spots.
