The Calgary Flames acquired defenceman Simon Nemec and right winger Maxim Tsyplakov from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for conditional first-round picks in 2027 and 2028, a 2026 second-round pick, and defenceman Etienne Morin. Nemec, 22, appeared in 68 games for New Jersey in 2025-26 with 26 points and represented Slovakia at the 2026 Olympics, while Tsyplakov has 126 NHL games across his career with 39 points.
