Red Wings’ training camp moves from Traverse City, ending a 3-decade-long partnership
The Detroit Red Wings are relocating their training camp from Traverse City to Detroit for the 2025-26 season, ending a nearly three-decade tradition that began in 1997. The move is a one-year plan prompted by the NHL's expansion of the regular season from 82 to 84 games, which limits teams to four exhibition games. Training camp will be held at Little Caesars Arena and the Belfor Training Center from September 17-20, with a four-team prospect tournament preceding it from September 12-15.
