The Detroit Red Wings are among teams linked to New Jersey Devils defenseman Simon Nemec, a restricted free agent this July who the Devils are willing to trade, according to The Fourth Period. Nemec was the second-overall pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft and recorded 11 goals, 15 assists, and 26 points in 68 games with the Devils last season. The Red Wings have significant cap space available following their 10th consecutive playoff miss.
