TheWire1h ago
Molly Engstrom, a two-time U.S. Olympian and former University of Maine head coach, was hired as assistant coach for the Detroit PWHL expansion team ahead of its inaugural 2026-27 season. Engstrom spent the past three seasons as head coach at Maine, where she was a runner-up for Hockey East Coach of the Year in her debut season and led the team to set a program record for best power play. She will work alongside head coach Josh Sciba for the as-yet-unnamed Detroit franchise.
