Michigan native Mellissa Channell-Watkins and 2 other defenders sign with PWHL Detroit

Mellissa Channell-Watkins, a Plymouth, Michigan native, along with defenders Stephanie Markowski and Mia Biotti have signed with PWHL Detroit. Channell-Watkins and Markowski each signed two-year deals while Biotti signed a one-year agreement. The signings follow PWHL Detroit's selection of six players in the 2026 draft and the team's acquisition of five-time Olympian Hilary Knight via sign-and-trade from Las Vegas.
