Plymouth's Channell-Watkins joins local hockey players on PWHL Detroit

PWHL Detroit signed Plymouth defenseman Mellissa Channell-Watkins along with Stephanie Markowski and Mia Biotti for the inaugural 2026-2027 season. Channell-Watkins, who previously played for the Vancouver Goldeneyes and Minnesota Frost, joins three other Michigan-area players already on the roster. Markowski was selected 20th overall by Ottawa in the fourth round of the 2024 Draft.
