PWHL Draft tracker: Detroit picks Swiss goalie Brändli on star-studded roster

PWHL Detroit selected goaltender Andrea Brändli 15th overall as its first-ever draft pick on Wednesday night at Fox Theater, with the selection made by General Manager Manon Rheaume, the first woman to play in the NHL. Brändli, 29, played college hockey at Ohio State and Boston University from 2018 to 2023 with a career record of 64-39-9, a 1.99 goals against average, and a .929 save percentage. Detroit's second pick was Port Huron's Casey Borgiel, a defenseman from Colgate, selected 22nd overall.
