Hilary Knight adds star power to PWHL Detroit a day ahead of draft

Hilary Knight was acquired by PWHL Detroit in a trade with Las Vegas on June 16, with Detroit sending its first-round pick (third overall) in the 2026 draft in return. Knight, 36, is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and 10-time IIHF World Championship gold medalist who previously played for Boston and Seattle in the PWHL. The draft takes place Wednesday at the Fox Theatre.
