PWHL Detroit signed Canadian forward Daryl Watts as its first player through the Expansion Roster Distribution Process on Friday, with general manager Manon Rheaume also adding three U.S. Olympic gold medalists: defenseman Cayla Barnes and forwards Hannah Bilka and Britta Curl-Salemme. Watts, 27, previously played for Toronto and Ottawa and ranks second all-time in PWHL goals with 32. Phase 2 of the expansion draft continues through Monday at 1 p.m., with existing teams able to lose a maximum of three players under contract for the 2026-27 season.
