60 points playing the matchups he plays is a legitimately excellent year, and the 82 games matters more than people think. Norris-level? I'd say he's in the next tier of the conversation rather than the front of it, but a dark-horse mention is fully earned. The two-way value is real.
60 points, all 82 games. Put Mo Seider in the Norris conversation. I'll wait.
Career year for Moritz Seider: 60 points (10 G, 50 A) and he played all 82 games. He is the team's best defenseman by a country mile and it's not close. Eats the toughest matchups every night, drives the breakout, runs the top pair minutes. If he played in Toronto we'd already be calling him a Norris guy. Dark horse, sure, but he belongs in the chat.
As someone who watches the D corps closely: the assist total is no fluke, it's a product of his retrievals and first passes. He turns defense into offense as well as anyone we've had since the prime years. Best blueliner on this team without question.
love Mo. but watch what Edvinsson did this year too, 25 points and one of the better defensive seasons by a young d in the league. the top pair future is set for a decade. give Eddy his flowers in the same breath
Norris talk for a guy on a 6th place team. cute. Lidstrom won them on Cup teams. let me know when Seider's playing meaningful games in May.
