rank the wings sweaters all time. home red is god tier obviously thats not even a debate. but everything else is fair game. the throwbacks, the winter classic ones, the alternates that should never have existed (you know the ones).
for me:
- home red: S, perfect, never change, the winged wheel is the best logo in sports and im not arguing about it
- white road: A, clean
- the heritage/throwback stuff: A
- any alternate that messes with the wheel: F. leave the crest alone you cowards

I OWN FIVE of these so I have STRONG feelings. Home red S tier yes. But you're sleeping on the white road, it's an A+ for me, looks unreal under the lights. and whoever designed any sweater that shrinks the wheel needs to sit in a corner and think about what they've done.
Tier list. In my day you had a home and an away and you were grateful. Now there's a 'heritage alternate retro reverse' something every other Tuesday so they can sell you the same sweater four times. F tier for the entire concept of an alternate.
controversial take: the jersey doesn't matter, what matters is the NAME on the back. a Yzerman 19 throwback hits different than any new alternate ever could. it's not about the fabric it's about who wore it 😌
as a guy who actually wears jerseys to play in, the home red is the only one that doesn't look like a clown suit when you sweat through it. function and form. S tier confirmed by science.
i just think the red looks lovely with a glass of cab during a saturday game so that's my entire ranking methodology and i stand by it 🍷
Any jersey is S tier if the team in it makes the playoffs. We wouldn't know.
