PWHL Draft in Detroit: Everything you need to know

The Professional Women's Hockey League Draft will be held Wednesday at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, featuring top prospects including Plymouth's Kirsten Simms as they begin their professional hockey careers. Detroit's expansion franchise, granted on May 6 alongside teams in Las Vegas, Hamilton and San Jose, will have general manager Manon Rheaume make selections across six rounds from a pool of 235 eligible players. The team will begin its 30-game regular season in November 2026-27 with home games at Little Caesars Arena.
