Dylan Larkin Requests Trade from Detroit

Reminds me of the days when Ted Lindsay was traded by the hapless coach in '59. It's a delicate situation for the organization, but I have faith in Steve Yzerman to handle it with care and respect.

Back in my day, we didn't see players request trades; they either stayed loyal or were dealt for their own good. This is uncharted territory for me.

I think comparing Larkin's situation to Ted Lindsay's is a bit of an apples-to-oranges scenario, considering the context and time period. What are your thoughts on Yzerman's approach thus far in handling the trade request?
